OUR GOALS
- Prevent Child Mortality and Promote Children’s Health
- To support and enable families to care for their children; prevent unnecessary family-child separation; and promote appropriate, protective, and permanent family care.
- To prevent, respond to, and protect children from violence, exploitation, abuse, and neglect.
- To work with government at all levels and other actors to build and strengthen holistic and integrated models to promote the best interests of the child.
- To build and maintain a strong evidence base for future programming and a robust ICCA as a sector leader in responding to issues of child adversity and crises
THE PROMISE TO CHILDREN – NO MORE LOW INCOMES, DEPRIVATION AND VULNERABILITY
- Eradication of all forms of child adversity inflicted by multidimensional child poverty.
- No more child abuse, exploitation and neglect.
- Better parenting and other informal early childhood development practices at household and community levels
- No more Neonatal mortality; infant mortality; under-five mortality
- No more malaria deaths among children below age five
- Reduction in the number of children 0-14 years living with HIV.
- Enrolment of children in pre-primary education particularly in rural communities
- Eradication of all forms of violence against children – physical, sexual, and emotional within family, school, and community settings, and within childcare and justice institutions
- Food Secure families
- Access to clean water and proper sanitation at home and school
- All child births are registered
- All children have better shelter
- All households have a source of income
- All children have a say in their wellbeing.
