| Nuhu Namunyali is an accomplished Business Man. He Operates a chain of businesses in Mukono and Wakiso districts. He made a decision to leave formal employment in 2009 after 16 years of service. He served as a Project Manager in Mbale for over 13 years and Sponsorship Relations Manager in Soroti for 3 years with Child Fund International.
Over 16 years Nuhu had a progressive and proven track record in Participatory Design and implementation of development Programs in both rural and urban settings. He was a highly results-oriented person who accomplished targets within specified time frame and was able to work individually and as part of a multidisciplinary and multicultural teams with minimal supervision.
During his time in employment, Nuhu designed and implemented a sustainable Community Managed Cattle Dispersal Program with Child Fund International, developed and implemented a three year USD 1.5 million Grant for integrated food Security Program, was part of Child Fund International Uganda Country Change Management Team that transformed the programming approach from project to Area based and he specifically Spear headed the transformation of 2 Child Fund International supported CBOs into self-sustaining and autonomous Civil Society Organizations.
In addition, he led in the development of long-term visions and plans (Area Strategic Plans) for 2 Christian Children’s Fund Uganda Program Areas (Mbale and Soroti) and directly implemented and managed Community empowerment, Capacity Building, and Development Programs.
Nuhu holds a Master of Arts Degree in Public Administration (Human Resource Management and Development) and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Public Administration (Public Sector Management) both from Islamic University in Uganda.
Nuhu joined the ICCA board in order to continue to contribute to the protection and development of children and young people which he dedicated his entire working career to and secondly to provide guidance on how livelihoods and social enterprises can reduce the vulnerabilities of children and hence reduce their abuse and exploitation. |
